☼ Río Soco
We visited San Pedro de Macoris, where we make a tour of the old city visiting its colonial buildings, including the cathedral, firefighters and the cigar factory where you can be witness the whole process of manufacturing of cigars, then we visit The market, this visit gives us an impression of colors and smells of the place.
We leave towards Ramon Santana, a small village of farmers and ranchers located on the shore of Río Soco, here we board ours Mississippi ship called Queen of Soco, with availability for 60 people. We enjoyed the virginity of this river to reach Rancho Magarin.
Where we expect a delicious lunch consisting of greens salads, macaroni bolognese, Moor loafers, charcoal chicken, pork or beef creole style, french fries, breads, fruits and coffee.
Here we can perform some activities such as an eco-tour around a natural lagoon with its own spring bathing, rowing on the river with canoes or take a horse back riding tour around the river, then we take a break for lunch time.
After the break we continue with the Queen of Soco down this tropical river, appreciating its natural beauty. We will make our last stop in a typical Dominican house. The farmers will make an special coffee in a typical and familiar environment, then we come to a small fishing village “Boca del Soco” where the river tour ended.
